Chances are you struggle (like I do) with finding good keywords. Actually, it’s not a problem finding them. My problem is finding good keywords.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Sadly, that’s not always how it goes.
What you see (the data) is not what you get. It would have been correct at some point though. The answer to this particular enigma came to me almost accidentally.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty sure I could get a good result with that keyword. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.
My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A great result in the end for that key phrase.
I got lucky on that keyword but I suspected I may not get lucky again so I made the decision to try out a keyword research service. Getting a daily list of quality keywords sent is something that appeals to me. I calculated the cost against the time it would take me and it seemed a value for money concept.
I decided to give Travis Sago’s Instacash service a try. Let’s face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. And what I’m trying here is simply that. I’m giving my keyword research to someone else to do. That’s outsourcing.
Do you wanna know how it went with the Instacash service? Get on over to my website and I’ll tell you. I mentioned earlier about getting thousands of articles published for a good keyword. I’ll let you into that little secret on my site.
