So what about Christmas holidays, is it now time to get booking? It is very early in the year still, not even September, and Christmas holidays are being searched more and more often. In fact it is unbelievably clear how much this search volume has risen. It appears as though, last minute holidays have gone out the window, people now want to plan their Christmas holidays, instead of taking a chance.

From January to the end of July, the search volume for such holidays was so low, that there was no need for web-sites to start targeting them. Because the keyword is becoming so competitive, web-sites that target it have had to start trying even harder in bulk. The pages designed for Christmas holidays are being redesigned and outfitted with some powerful keywords, and the site itself is making a change to promote it.

However, what exactly constitutes to a Christmas holiday? Are people really looking for holidays, as in, holidays abroad? The term Christmas holidays applies to many different areas. Not just to those, that are actually looking for a Christmas holiday away, but also to those looking for bank holidays, the specific day of Christmas and Boxing Day, not to mention new years.

But what if the people weren’t really looking for holidays, doesn’t this pose a bit of a problem for tour operators? Or are they already anticipating a rise in searches for these holidays. If the search volume stays true to the norm, then people stop searching for these holidays around early November. I must say, that i thought that this time would have the highest search volume. This is slowly becoming a very competitive term, many tour operators are looking at using this term to pull in more customers. Do you have any plans for this Christmas?
