Blogging is one of the most preferred ways to get content out onto the internet these days. Every day there are about 40,000 blogs that get created. Obviously, this is a very large number of blogs. However, one of the hurdles that new bloggers face is getting exposure to their content and getting loyal readers. By simply creating targeted content you won’t be able to fully promote your blog. This is even when you are seeing search engine traffic. It is imperative that you ask other bloggers in your niche for links. Advise them about your posts. If your blog posts are related to theirs and they provide useful information, then other credible bloggers will most definitely want to link to you. There are services being launched constantly such as Forex Automoney Review that will take advantage of Internet Marketing.

Most importantly, always be a regular blogger in the community. All of the main bloggers have one thing that they do the same way. They are active bloggers. If you want your posts to be linked to by other bloggers, then you must always be an active participant in the blogging community. When you ask another member of the blogging community for a link, he will visit your blog to check it out. So when this is done, it is your job to make them realize that you really like to blog a lot. Do not make them feel like you are only a part time blogger and this is not that big of a deal to you. Your content will not be seriously considered until your blog is up to snuff.

Secondly, you should keep check on your link requesting practice at each turn. If you see that certain type of links are getting the most response, this shows that you need to write more posts on that particular topic. The more you brush up in this area, the better your materials will be that you can supply to other blogs later on. Each blog that does not accept your link, for whatever the reason may be, should give you something to think about. In addition, when you know how it is all done, anytime you ask for a link, it will be accepted. You can use Internet Marketing to promote new product launches such as Forex Automoney.

Lastly, make it easier for the blogger to respond to you by being clear in your communication. You can’t expect a blogger to bother with an email that has nothing but a link and a sentence like, “check out this link.” You have to point out to the blogger why this content might be of interest, and why they’d want to publish it. Now, this doesn’t mean that you would put in every point that comes across your mind, but rather be choosy in selecting what to say in the email. If you briefly tell the blog owner what your link relates to, he or she will easily understand the essentials.

Getting links from bloggers, then, is really quite simple if you follow the guidelines we’ve covered here. It’s all quite straightforward, and there’s nothing to fear. You can’t lose anything by sending off some emails to blog owners and telling them who you are and what your blog is about.

If you want to use Internet Marketing to its best effect make sure you promote new products such as Forex Automoney Review.

Every site that uses search engine optimization is trying to get its keywords highly ranked, and this can be a difficult process. This can be tricky, especially if you’re not generating any targeted backlinks for your website. Blog commenting is therefore a great way to get relevant backlinks to your blog/site because every blog out there has the option for you to leave your link, so why not leverage this to the fullest extent? But in order to actually have your link noticed by the search engines, you should aim for do-follow blogs. Your comments also must be approved, for if they’re rejected it won’t do you any good. There are services being launched constantly for example Forex Automoney which will take advantage of Internet Marketing.

Fill Out the Name Field With Your Real Name: You always have a field that asks for your name when you leave a blog comment. Many people will use their keyword instead of their name in order to have that word hyperlinked to their site, but this isn’t a good idea. Bloggers usually don’t approve comments where the commenter hasn’t used their actual name. Bloggers don’t want to publish comments from marketers who are only trying to get backlinks, and that’s what they’ll think if they see a keyword instead of a name. A real name, however, shows that you’re a real person who’s writing a relevant comment.

Avoid Blogs that Don’t Have Recent Comments: Blogs that don’t have much activity aren’t worth your time. You should, therefore, look for blogs that have recent comments. Then you can be sure that people are visiting the blog and the owner is watching it. The whole point of this strategy is to get your comments approved and published, so there’s no point in commenting on blogs that show no sign of recent activity. Keeping this single issue in mind can make a big difference, as it allows you to make the most of your blog comments. You can use Internet Marketing to promote new product launches such as Forex Automoney Review.

Do Not Be Abusive or Offensive: It’s okay to be critical about a post on a blog that you read but your criticism should have a positive tone so that it can be taken in a nice light. Don’t go too far and risk sounding offensive or abusive to the post’s author. This will pretty much ensure that your comment gets deleted instead of approved. Try to be subtle while also being nice to the post’s writer.

In summation, this article helps you understand how important it is to leave comments on do-follow blogs and some of the best ways to assure that your blogs get approved. It might seem like this is hard to do when you first start out and, in the beginning some of your comments are likely not to get approved and that is okay–as long as you are providing good value to the blog post with your comment, you shouldn’t have to worry much. The real thing that you need to remember is that you should be very active when it comes to blog comments because the more backlinks you create the better off you are.

If you want to use Internet Marketing to its best effect make sure you promote services such as Forex Trading Software.

You check your traffic every day but all you find are tumbleweeds blowing across the landscape of your blog. Well, there’s a reason you’re not building readership. Your blog sucks. Most do, and all for the same reasons. The same 7 reasons.

1. Your writing is boring – Ever come across writing that are both educative and entertaining? The simplest way to add life into your articles is by writing your post the same way you talk. It adds personality in your post.

2. Your blog revolves around you – Stop talking about yourself already. I don’t know you personally, and I couldn’t care less about your ramblings. Tell me something I can use in my own life. Facts, stories, not boring personal stuff.

3. You’re repeating what others are saying – So what’s the whole point of reading your blog? I’m not saying you shouldn’t gain insight on what to write by reading other blogs, but always make sure to put your OWN two cent on the matter. Not a blatant copy paste of other peoples work.

4. Media on auto-play – Nothing irritates me more than finding videos, or music on auto-play when I enter a site. I can bet my life it’s the same for most people. Don’t do it.

5. Nothing but a wall of text – What was your immediate reaction when you see a wall of text coming your way? Hit the back button, right? So be kind to your readers by breaking your points into paragraphs. No one ever reads wall of text anymore. It hurts the eyes.

6. You post once a month – The worst you could do to kill your blog is by writing one hell of an article and leave it till next month before you get your new post up. For established bloggers, they might be able to pull this off. But if your blog is new, I recommend at least three posts a week for the first couple of months.

7. Your blog design is lame – It’s not about being colorful, nor was it about the amount of widgets you have on sidebars. It’s about functionality. If you have Adsense paste all over your blog, chances are, visitors are going to leave before they even read your articles.

Good news is, its never too late to correct these mistakes.

One popular post can bring your more traffic and links than a month’s worth of your usual content. In this post, I want to set you a challenge with the potential to launch your blog into the stratosphere. So make sure to use these tips and make the next post you write your most popular post ever.

1. Time is more important than talent – Work on something for eight hours and you can bet it will be good. Spending more time on an article means you can refine, format and fill your post with more values. My advice is, take the time to really craft your content. It will show in the finished product.

2. Use your best idea – I’ll be honest here. I use to have a tendency to keep my best idea for later use. I won’t recommend this to anyone. The whole point is to try writing your best post one after another. Here’s the rule of thumb. The more your post help people solve their problems, the better it will do.

3. Write Short Paragraphs – Blog posts are easiest to scan and read when paragraphs are short. In fact, one or two sentence paragraphs are perfectly acceptable and usually welcomed by blog visitors. Short paragraphs add white space and visual relief to text-heavy blog posts. Remember to keep your paragraphs short.

4. Brainstorm headlines – A good headline should always give out an idea or hint to attract readers and visitors to your site. Do note that it’s bad if you give out the entire story in the headline itself as there would no longer be any reason for people to read the article then. To cut the story short, any headline that does not give indication of an idea or hint will actually deter prospects.

5. Invest plenty of value in your post – Ever bookmarked or voted for something without completely reading it? We’ve all done it. It’s because of the ‘Wow’ factor – the presence of enough promised value in one place gets the reader enthusiastic about the post straight away. Instead of 5 tips, why not share 50? Instead of 9 resources, why not 40 or more?

6. Utilize your network – If you want people to Digg, Stumble or Reddit your post, there’s no reason why you need to sit back with fingers crossed and hope it happens. Ask them. Your loyal readers like you. You entertain them, or teach them, or help them. If voting is a simple matter of clicking a link they’ll be more than happy to do so. Ask for votes in your post and email readers and social media influencers. In most cases you will need to get the snowball rolling. After that, others will do most of the work for you.

7. Proof-read for typos and glaring grammatical errors – You wouldn’t go out of the house with dirty hair or missing a sock, so why would you publish spelling mistakes? Respect your readers by polishing up your stuff.

We all tend to forget things. Bloggers are no exceptions. I hope this list will serve as a good reminder to complete tasks that are important, and should not be left forgotten.

1. Backup your blog regularly – I don’t think I can stress this enough. If there is one thing you should take from the tips listed here, it’s this one. And I speak from experience. Waking up early in the morning only to find your blog crashed and you have no backup data, is like having your soul mate killed right in front of you, and there is nothing you could do about it.

2. Link to older posts – There several benefits from linking to your older posts that you don’t want to miss. Apart from increasing your traffic, search engine rankings and providing more information for your readers to go deeper into certain subjects, it also increase visitors’ time spent, which in turn will increase your chances of gaining subscriptions.

3. Network – Ask 10 successful blogger and at least 7 of them will answer you this; “The key to blogging success is networking with other bloggers”. Sometimes, who you know is more important that what you know. There are many ways to network. Things like commenting on other blogs, guest posting and befriends them in social media.

4. Proofread – Most bloggers forget about proofreading. If you read blogs on a daily basis, you’ll tend to notice the trend of minor grammar mistakes such as its and it’s, your and you’re. Proofreading is essential to look professional, so do remember to proofread the next time you finish writing a post.

5. Answer to comments – When you started blogging I am pretty sure that you got excited with the first few comments that arrived. You would even take the time to answer to each of them individually. That approach helps to create loyal readers and to build a community around them. Even if your blog is much more popular now, do not neglect the comments. At the very minimum you want to answer the people that post direct questions to you.

6. Answer to emails – Depending on the size of your audience it might become cumbersome to answer to all emails, but you should try nonetheless. It might be the difference between an upset visitor and a faithful reader.

7. Upgrade WordPress – This is common sense, yet many refuse to upgrade their WordPress for some reasons. See it this way; there are reasons why the new version is out. Some upgrades are important in patching security holes that allows hackers to hack your blog.

Indeed blogging is a great way to make money online. Ever since it took off in 2004, many have jumped on the bandwagon in hope to taste financial success that they have envisioned. However, there are a couple of things one should keep in mind before they start blogging. Below is the list of things you should keep in mind before starting your own blog.

1. Be realistic – Yes, there are many people who blog for a living. But, you must be realistic when you start to write and know that you cannot expect such stupendous success, at least not for a few years. If you’re hoping to make huge amounts of money right from the word go, then you’re in for disappointment.

2. Don’t quit your regular job – Because blogs make money randomly or not at all, especially when they’re new, it’s not wise to quit your regular job and sit at home in front of your computer hoping to strike the mother lode instantly. Instead, set aside some time every day to work on your blog and popularize it.

3. Be passionate – One thing that sets apart professional bloggers from others is their passion for the topic of discussion. We can tell from reading their posts, how passionate they are in the topic they are covering. The details provided in their articles, along with the consistency to post articles on a regular basis are some of the major factor why readers subscribe to their blog.

4. Finding your niche – Having a niche is important. Most blogs that fare well are those that talks on a specific topic. It can be anything from religion, personal development, etc. The main reason for having a niche is so that your readers will know what to expect from you. This is important because if your topic is something that they find interesting, they most likely will subscribe to your blog, of course provided that they find your articles useful.

5. Know that patience pays – One thing you must remember when beginning a blog is that you must be patient in order to see even a modicum of success. It takes a long time to popularize a blog, and even when that happens, it may be some more time before you start to see monetary results.

6. Spend some – It’s undeniable that blogging is cheap. You don’t even need to spend a dime if you don’t want to. There’s free hosting and do-it-yourself design options that is enough to start with. Though, I would recommend to at least get a self hosting option, if you are serious about blogging. This is to show professionalism to your visitors, which is important if you want people to subscribe to your blog.

Blogging is easy, but it’s also easy to make mistakes, as there are plenty of ways to go about reaching blogging success. I think the key to blogging success, in the end of the day is persistence.

All of us need reminders now and then about how to keep our writing fresh and sharp. Blogs are still an evolving medium, and we each come to blogging with past experiences in writing, some of which will work in the blogsphere, and some of which will not. Here are a few tips on how to improve your blog copy:

1. The headline is the most important thing – You have about 6 seconds to attract attention from an Internet user before he clicks off your site and look somewhere else. This is about the same attention span of a two year old child, so you need a headline that is going to pull them in immediately, and capture their interest long enough to get them reading the rest.

2. Dont take a too-formal tone – Blogging is a more informal medium than print, and your writing style should reflect that. Blogging allows you to write in a casual, face-to-face tone, as if you were sitting down for a cup of coffee with your readers. One way to begin to develop your blog “voice” is to read blogs that resonate with you and study the ways in which those bloggers choose words that maintain a professional tone while still being warm and accessible.

3. DON’T use tired clichs. – A clich is a phrase that has been coined for so long that it has become boring. An easy way to turn off readers and make them move on to another site is to pepper your posts with clichs like “right as rain” and “easy as pie.” Take a minute to prune those phrases out and replace them with something fresh and original.

4. Make Lists – Bulleted and numbered lists work equally well in turning text that could be published as long paragraphs into easily scannable content. Use lists whenever you can to break up long blocks of text.

5. Cut the boring parts – Unless you’re writing for personal reasons alone, you need to consider the attention of your readers. There’s no point is publishing content that isn’t useful, interesting, or both.

6. Eliminate unnecessary words – I used to feel that using words like “really”, “actually”, or “extremely” made writing more forceful. It doesn’t. They only get in the way. Cut them and never look back.

Following what works will only get you so far. Experiment with new styles, even if it means taking criticism. Without moving forward, you’ll be left behind.

Your About page is a page that explains who you are, what your blog is about, and how to contact you. If someone is new to your blog, they'll most likely click on your About page to find out more information. Likewise, if you're passing out business cards at an event or conference, when people return home and check out your blog, they'll likely click on your About page first just to get a feel for who you are. These days a blogger can't ignore her About page. It's your online resume of sorts; your virtual "How do you do?" Whether you're using your blog as a way to attract PR and marketers, a resource for your new book, a way to attract publishers, or just as a hello to new visitors, you need to put some time and effort into this page.

Your About page is a page that explains who you are, what your blog is about, and how to contact you. If someone is new to your blog, they’ll most likely click on your About page to find out more information. Likewise, if you’re passing out business cards at an event or conference, when people return home and check out your blog, they’ll likely click on your About page first just to get a feel for who you are. These days a blogger can’t ignore her About page. It’s your online resume of sorts; your virtual “How do you do?” Whether you’re using your blog as a way to attract PR and marketers, a resource for your new book, a way to attract publishers, or just as a hello to new visitors, you need to put some time and effort into this page.

What should a basic About page include?

1. Your picture – Having a picture of yourself in the “About” page is important. It helps you readers connect with you better.

2. An overview of your blog – What is your blog all about? Share them with your readers here. A good way to write is to start off with an elevator pitch (short description of what your blog is about) and then expand the explanation.

3. Contact information – Your readers want to have the feeling that you’re within reach. Of course you should never publish your email address directly into your blog because there are spambots that harvest email addresses. You can use a contact form. Or you can put an image of your email address into your blog, so it can’t be picked up by spambots.

4. Share interesting information – Have interesting stuff you want to share with your readers? This is your time to shine. Just make sure you don’t end up getting overboard.

5. Write in first person – I recommend writing in first person rather than third person to be more personal with your readers. Also, writing in third person is rather weird, if your blog is still small. This is because most readers would assume you have written it yourself.

6. Your goals – This can be your goals for your blog, your short- or long-term goals for your life (if it’s related to what you blog about), or just the goal of the About page (to introduce yourself or encourage people to contact you or whatever).

Think about the last time you read a book – chances are you checked out the author’s bio and maybe wanted to see his picture in addition to the bio. This helps you get a feel for the person writing the words you’re reading, helps you feel more connected to the words, helps you to care about them more deeply than if you were reading an anonymous person’s post. So remember to get your About page up if you still haven’t.

If you have a well established blog, you may well want to earn money from your hard work. Advertising is one of those methods that can generate lucrative income, of course depending on how big your blog is. Follow these simple tips to attract more ad buyers to your blog.

1. Throw up a free bonus ad – By putting a free advertisement on your site, you may not only encourage similar ads or competitors to that product, but the company you added for free may decide to advertise with you. Ask for full disclosure of the performance of the campaign in return. (Total clicks, total purchases etc. ) Key points. Put the free bonus up with a direct URL without tracking tags or affiliate tags.

2. Don’t use Google AdSense on your site – OK, this could be the most painful one for most people especially if you are generating a few hundred bucks a month from it already. But Google ad sense devalues your site and makes it look unprofessional. You have to ask yourself, “Do I want some real revenue from my site or Google’s table scraps.”

3. Focus on a specific topic and try to become an authority figure – Try to spread your opinions and research by contributing articles to blogs, newsletters, online magazines, and other things. Try to get interviews by other bloggers. You want to prop yourself up on a pedestal so that you look worthy of having advertisers on your blog.

4. Keep your blog professional – Try not to talk about yourself too much. You do not want to scare your advertisers away. They’re looking for a blog that is for a specific topic or industry. That means they want you to talk about it otherwise it will not feel like they’re advertising on a blog that really has a topic or goes within an industry.

5. Think of your blog as a business – Monitor your traffic and webpages with conversion ratios in mind. Set up auxiliary streams of income (Job board, online stores) to improve your site’s perceived income value.

6. Hire writers/guest bloggers – Once your blog has grown huge, I recommend you to hire writer/guest bloggers so you can focus on strategic planning for your blog. Multiple writers will also help establish your blog as an online publication or community blog. Think Mashable.

Building advertising partnerships with traditional media and online businesses is an effective way to generate a substantial amount of regular income from your blog.

When it comes to blog design, most new bloggers only aim to being unique. While having a unique design is certainly advantages to differentiate your blog with the others, there are some basic tips and mistakes you should avoid. Follow these 6 tips and mistakes to make the most out of your design today.

1. Make your purpose clear – Your blog banner should have a title and subtitle that make it clear who you are and what you write about. First-time visitors to your blog will leave in a hurry if they can’t quickly determine what you’re about.

2. Avoid complex URL structures – A simple, keyword-based URL structure will not only improve your search engine rankings, but it will also make it easier for the reader to identify the content of your pages before visiting them.

3. Make sure your website is cross-browser compatible – Not all browsers are created equal, and not all of them interpret CSS and other languages on the same way. Like it or not, you will need to make your website compatible with the most used browsers on the market, else you will lose readers over the long term.

4. Add visual interest with photos – Humans are visually stimulated, and let’s face it: reading is much more fun when supplemented with pretty pictures. Even if you don’t fancy yourself a photographer, it is a good idea to include images now and then in your blog posts to help up the “good-looking” factor.

5. Get a custom banner – If you are running a small business, or want to promote an existing logo or graphic identity, you’ll want to create your own banner to match your brand.

6. Make sure to include anchor text on links – I confess I used to do that mistake until some time ago. It is easier to tell people to “click here”. But this is not efficient. Make sure to include a relevant anchor text on your links. It will ensure that the reader knows where he is going to if he clicks the link, and it will also create SEO benefits for the external site where the link is pointing.

A blog’s design is not only important for SEO purposes, but also providing good user experience to your readers. Make sure to follow these tips for a better design blog.
